Defensive Player of the Week | Week 2 | Joseph Garcia

Geraldine’s Joseph Garcia came out on top in CM Gridiron’s Defensive Player of the Week fan poll for week two of the Alabama high school football season. The sophomore picked up 70,774 total votes (52.27%) in this week’s interactive voting. He lead the Geraldine defense with 12.5 stops and seven tackles for loss in the Bulldog’s 41-21 win over Dekalb County rival Plainview (0-2). The 2-1 Bulldogs travel to Hokes Bluff (1-1) this week for another Class 3A, Region 6 matchup.
