Straughn’s Wyatt Smith came away with CM Gridiron’s Defensive Player of the Week honors for week 10 of the Alabama high school football season. Smith, who racked up 10 stops and a pair of tackles for loss in the Tigers 19-7 win over Providence Christian, racked up a whopping 838,742 total votes (57.46%) in this week interactive fan poll.
