Defensive Player of the Week | Round 2 | Daniel Martin

Randolph’s Daniel Martin came out on top in CM Gridiron’s Defensive Player of the Week interactive fan poll for round 2 of the Alabama high school football postseason. Martin, who posted 10 stops including a tackle for loss and a sack in the Raiders 47-37 playoff victory over the Dora Bulldogs claimed 197,857 total votes (40.51%) in this week’s interactive voting. Randolph welcomes the Cherokee County Warriors to Huntsville Friday night in the AHSAA Class 4A quarterfinals.

Round 2 Defensive Player of the Week Nominees:

Tae Diamond | Cherokee County- 11 Tackles with 3 tackles for loss and 3 sacks

Caleb Hall | Geraldine- 10 Tackles and 1 pass breakup

Daniel Martin | Randolph- 10 Tackles with 1 tackle for loss and 1 sack

Jordan Sterling | Aliceville- 11 Tackles and 4 pass breakups

Jay Williams | Handley- 10 Tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss

Peter Woods | Thompson- 7 tackles

    Y’all #21 from Cherokee county is my great nephew an one of my best friend he a very good young man an play his heart out on the football field he love the game an also love his team mate an will do anything for anyone he can an very respectful he going places
