2022 Offensive Player of the Year | Jacob Cornejo & Cade Atkins advance to Final Round

Cherokee County’s Jacob Cornejo and Marion County’s Cade Atkins came out on top in the first round of interactive fan voting for CM Gridiron’s first annual Offensive Player of the Year Award. Candidates were comprised of CMG’s Player of the Week winners from 2022.

Cornejo took the top spot securing 6,643 votes (42.0%) followed closely by Atkins who claimed 6,209 votes (39.26%).

Rounding out the Round 1, Group A field were:

Cody Satterfield | Geraldine Bulldogs | Playoff Round 1 Winner (2,463 votes | 15.57%)

Trey Cook | Susan Moore Bulldogs | Week 3 Winner (290 votes | 1.83%)

Layne Grantham | Straughn Tigers | Week 10 Winner (142 votes | 0.90%)

Nic Strong | Randolph Raiders | Week 1 Winner (46 votes | 0.29%)

Yamorion Jones | Francis Marion Rams | Week 7 Winner (22 votes | 0.14%)

Cornejo and Akins advance to take on the top two vote getters from Round 1, Group B which will kick off Sunday at 7:00 PM.

    Jacob is the man I know we will see him playing on Saturday’s in a few years.
