Pisgah Eagles head coach Luke Pruitt has been named CM Gridiron’s Coach of the Week for his exceptional leadership during week three of the Alabama high school football season.
Pruitt’s Eagles soared as they dominated the previously unbeaten Collinsville Panthers with a stunning 66-13 victory, on the road, last Friday night at Cagle Civitan Stadium. The game, a pivotal Class 2A region 7 matchup, showcased the Eagles’ prowess and sent a resounding message to their rivals across northeast Alabama.
Under Pruitt’s tutelage, the third-ranked Pisgah Eagles have demonstrated their offensive prowess, scoring a staggering 158 points in just three games while maintaining a resolute defense, conceding only 47 points. This remarkable balance between offensive aggression and defensive discipline has firmly placed the Eagles as a formidable force in Class 2A.
The Eagles, buoyed by their recent successes, will return to the friendly confines of Sam Kenimer Stadium this Friday night to host the 2-1 Ider Hornets. The showdown promises to be another thrilling chapter in Pisgah’s journey under the guidance of Coach Pruitt.
Pruitt, who is in his sixth season at the helm of the Eagles program, has consistently demonstrated his dedication and expertise on the gridiron. His coaching tenure is marked by a commendable 32-28 record, including a remarkable 11-3 run in 2022, which saw the Eagles make an appearance in the Class 2A semifinals.
