Holly Pond High School’s Sawyer Olinger has been named the CM Gridiron Offensive Player of the Week for week 9 of the Alabama high school football season. This accolade comes as no surprise to those who have been following Olinger’s remarkable season.
he CM Gridiron Offensive Player of the Week interactive poll, driven by fans of Alabama high school football, saw Olinger capturing an impressive 11,016 votes, which accounted for 52.13% of the total votes cast. His victory in this poll underscores his popularity and the recognition of his outstanding performance on the field.
Olinger’s achievement in the interactive poll follows his standout performance in the Broncos’ 34-26 triumph over the Cleveland Panthers in a crucial Class 2A, Region 6 contest. The young athlete shined in the matchup, showcasing both his rushing and passing abilities.
On the ground, Olinger was unstoppable, rushing for a whopping 218 yards and scoring three touchdowns. His agility, speed, and strength were evident in each play, contributing significantly to the Broncos’ victory.
