CM Gridiron’s Team of the Week | Week 9 | Haleyville Lions

In a remarkable display of fan support, the Haleyville Lions emerged as the CM Gridiron Team of the Week for week nine of the Alabama high school football season. The Lions claimed the top spot in the fan-driven, interactive poll, amassing an impressive 55,939 votes, which accounted for 49.20% of the total votes cast.

This victory comes on the heels of the Lions’ astounding win over the previously unbeaten and top ten ranked, Corner Yellow Jackets. In a game that will be remembered for its intensity and decisive result, the Lions outplayed the Yellow Jackets, with the final score of 32-13.

Beulah Bobacats- Beulah had a big win over the Weaver Bearcats with a score of 38-31.

Central Clay County Volunteers- The Vols came out with a huge win over the Russell County Warriors by a final score of 30-14.

Collinsville Panthers- Collinsville clinched the number three seed in their region with a big win over North Sand Mountain by a score of 56-7.

Haleyville Lions- The Lions had a huge win over the Corner Yellow Jackets with a score of 32-13.

Lynn Bears- The Bears defeated the South Lamar Stallions by a score of 47-20.

Marion County Red Raiders- Marion County came out on top with a win over the Hubbertville Lions by a score of 41-28.

Mobile Christian Leopards- The Leopards had a huge win over the Thomasville Tigers with a score of 45-14.

Montgomery Academy Eagles- Montgomery Academy defeated the Geneva Panthers by a score of 55-24.

Moody Blue Devils- Moody had a big win over the Southside Panthers with an ending score of 34-21.

Oneonta Redskins- Oneonta had a huge win over the Good Hope Raiders by a score of 55-42.

Piedmont Bulldogs- Piedmont came out on top in a battle with the Hokes Bluff Eagles by a score of 22-21.

Straughn Tigers- Straughn defeated the Opp Bobcats with a score of 47-0.

Valley Rams- Valley had a huge win over the Carroll Eagles by a score of 27-21.

Washington County Bulldogs– Washington County had a big win over the J. U. Blachsher Bulldogs by a score of 27-20.
