Valley Head High School head coach Charles Hammon has been named CM Gridiron’s Coach of the Week for Week 9 of the Alabama high school football season, it’s a well-deserved recognition for his outstanding accomplishments and leadership. Coach Charles Hammon has been at the helm of the Valley Head program for seven seasons, bringing his expertise and passion for the game to the Northeast Alabama program. During his tenure, he has shown remarkable dedication and commitment to the development and success of his players.

With a combined record of 40-34, including a 28-18 mark in region play, Coach Hammon has guided the Tigers to significant achievements. His leadership has resulted in a region title in 2022 and five playoff appearances, showcasing his ability to bring out the best in his team.

Hammon’s Tigers are currently ridding a six game winning streak, with their recent victory over Gaylesville by a commanding score of 53-14. This impressive win solidifies their strong season record, currently standing at 7-2, with a 5-1 mark in region play. As a result, they have secured the No. 2 seed in Region 7, setting the stage for a playoff run.

Looking ahead, the Valley Head Tigers will close out the season with a home matchup against the Collinsville Panthers. The Tigers will step into the playoffs November 10th, hosting the Ragland Purple Devils.
