Cole Wilson, the left-handed quarterback from Piedmont High School, has been named the CM Gridiron Offensive Player of the Week for round one of the Alabama high school football postseason. This award is determined by a fan-driven, interactive poll that underscores the support and admiration of Alabama high school football fans.
In a field of 17 offensive standouts from across the State of Alabama, Wilson claimed an impressive 4,230 votes, accounting for 35.47% of the total votes cast. This victory in the poll not only highlights his popularity among fans but also acknowledges his exceptional performance on the football field.
Wilson’s recognition comes on the heels of his standout performance in the Bulldogs’ 44-14 triumph over the J.B. Pennington Tigers in round one of the postseason.
Wilson shined with 204 yards passing, displaying his precision and ability to read the game effectively. His effectiveness in the passing game underlines his talent as a quarterback and his crucial role in the Bulldogs’ offensive lineup.
