CM Gridiron Coach of the Year Nominee Profile: Miles Holcomb | Southside Panthers

Southside-Gadsden head football coach Miles Holcomb has been nominated to appear in this year’s CM Gridiron interactive Coach of the Year poll. The CM Gridiron fan-driven voting system celebrates the most effective and influential coaches in Alabama high school football.

Holcomb led the Panthers to  their fourth region championship in program history and their first since 2014 in 2023. He concluded his third season at the helm of the Southside program with an 8-3 record and a berth in the AHSAA postseason.

Overall, Holcomb currently holds a career head coaching record of 26-28, with four playoff berths and a region title over six seasons as a head coach. His leadership and the team’s success under his guidance have earned him a well-deserved nomination in the CM Gridiron Coach of the Year poll.

As we approach the voting period for this year’s Coach of the Year, fans will have unlimited opportunities to cast their votes for Holcomb. The matchups for the voting will be announced in early January. Given Holcomb’s track record and the Panthers’ recent success, it’s clear that he is a strong contender for this prestigious award.
