2023 Coach of the Year

CM Gridiron Coach of the Year Nominee Profile: Luke Pruitt | Pisgah Eagles

Pisgah Eagles’ head coach Luke Pruitt has been nominated for the prestigious CM Gridiron Coach of the Year award. The award is determined by CM Gridiron’s unlimited, interactive voting system, driven by fans. Official voting matchups are set to be announced in early January.

In the 2023 season, Coach Pruitt led the Eagles to an impressive 12-2 record, which included their second consecutive trip to the Class 2A semifinals. This achievement attests to Pruitt’s ability to shepherd his team through intense competition and high-stakes gridiron matchups.

The Eagles’ 2023 campaign was historic, racking up 652 points, a program best. Pruitt’s Eagles managed to score 50 points or more in seven games, demonstrating their offensive prowess and strategic play-calling.

Despite a pair of setbacks to eventual Class 2A state champion Fyffe, the Eagles had a season to remember. Pruitt’s leadership and tactical acumen were evident as he guided the high octane Pisgah Eagles to another successful season.

Over his six-year tenure at the helm of the Eagles program, Pruitt’s teams have posted an overall 41-30 record, made five postseason appearances, and clinched a region title. These accomplishments underscore Pruitt’s consistent success since taking over the Pisgah program in 2018.

The anticipation builds as fans eagerly await the opportunity to make their voice heard in the CM Gridiron Coach of the Year interactive poll. Regardless of the outcome, Coach Luke Pruitt has already left an indelible mark on high school football in Alabama.
