Brooks High School defensive standout Lucas Oakley came out on top in the CM Gridiron Defensive Player of the Week poll for week five of the Alabama high school football season.
Oakley’s domination on the field didn’t go unnoticed as he secured an impressive 6,914 votes, capturing 53.64% of the total votes cast in the fan-driven, interactive poll. His stellar performance was instrumental in the Lions’ 31-6 victory over the Lauderdale County Tigers, showcasing Oakley’s remarkable defensive prowess.
Oakley recorded 11 tackles, demonstrated his tackling skills with a tackle for loss, executed a sack, and topped it off by forcing a fumble. Each of these contributions played a pivotal role in securing the win for the Lions on the road.
Lions’ win over the Lauderdale County Tigers was a showcase of determination and strategy, with Oakley leading the charge on defense. His ability to disrupt plays and halt the Tigers’ momentum was a testament to his skill and dedication to the game.
