DJ Waluyn, a defensive powerhouse for the Hoover Bucs, has been crowned the CM Gridiron Defensive Player of the Week for week six of the Alabama high school football season. His standout performance and substantial support from fans propelled him to the top in the highly competitive, interactive poll.

Waluyn received an impressive 17,893 votes, accounting for 53.94% of the total votes cast. This overwhelming response from fans not only highlights his popularity but also underscores his contributions on the field.

Waluyn’s remarkable performance was pivotal in the Bucs’ 28-10 victory over the Oak Mountain Eagles at the Hoover Met. His defensive prowess was evident as he recorded 10 tackles, disrupting the Eagles’ offensive efforts and contributing significantly to his team’s success.
