The Brindlee Mountain Lions roared to victory, clinching the title of CM Gridiron Team of the Week for Week 6 of the Alabama high school football season. This accolade is especially significant as it comes directly from the fans who participated in our interactive poll, showcasing the strong backing the Lions have within their community.

The Lions secured an impressive 11,182 votes, which accounts for 48.79% of the total votes cast. This overwhelming support not only highlights the community’s enthusiasm but also underscores the renewed spirit within the team under the guidance of first-year head coach, Jake Pittman.

The victory is particularly momentous as it follows a nail-biting 22-21 win over Marshall County rival, Asbury. This triumph is more than just a win on the field; it marks the end of a challenging 23-game losing streak for the Lions. Coach Pittman’s strategy and leadership have clearly begun to take effect, revitalizing both the players and the community.

Auburn | Tigers- The Auburn Tigers had a huge win over the Central Phenix City Red Devils defeating them 38-33.

Beulah | Bobcats- Beulah came out on top in a close game against the B.B. Comer Tigers with a final score of 43-40.

Brindlee Mountain | Lions- Brindlee Mountain had a big win over the Asbury Rams by a score of 22-21.

Dale County | Warriors- The Warriors had a huge win over undefeated Opp defeating the Bobcats 28-12.

Fairview | Aggies- Fairview defeated the Russellville Golden Tigers in 3 OT with an ending score of 50-49.

Fyffe | Red Devils- Fyffe had a huge region win over the Sylvania Rams by a score of 49-17.

Marion County Red Raiders- The Red Raiders had a big win over the Brilliant Tigers with a final score of 39-6.

North Jackson | Chiefs- North Jackson defeated the Madison County Mustangs by a final score of 18-12.

Russell County | Warriors- The Warriors had a huge victory over Stanhope Elmore defeating the Mustangs 42-28.

Southeastern | Mustangs- Southeastern had a big win over the Susan Moore Bulldogs with a final score of 28-6.

Tuscaloosa Academy | Knights- In the battle of the undefeated, Tuscaloosa Academy came out with the huge win over Vincent Yellowjackets with an ending score of 35-21.

West Point | Warriors- West Point defeated the Priceville Bulldogs in a huge matchup winning by the score of 28-21.

Winston County | Yellowjackets- The Yellowjackets had a huge win over the Lexington Golden Bears defeating them 32-6.
