J.B. Pennington Tigers standout, Will Taylor, has been named the CM Gridiron Defensive Player of the Week for Week 8 in the Alabama high school football season. Taylor’s exemplary performance on the field played a crucial role in leading the Tigers to a thrilling 33-30 victory over the Westbrook Christian Warriors at W.R. Sutton Memorial Stadium.
Taylor’s impressive stats speak volumes about his impact on the game. He recorded ten tackles, demonstrating his relentless pursuit and ability to stop the opposition in their tracks. His defensive prowess didn’t stop there—Taylor also intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown, a pivotal play that showcased his agility and game-changing capabilities.
Taylor captured a significant portion of the fan-driven weekly poll, securing 7,505 votes, which accounted for 41.22% of the total.
