The Cleburne County Tigers came away with the top spot in this week’s CM Gridiron fan-driven, interactive poll.


Week 1 Nominees:

A. H. Parker Herd: Parker had a big win over rival, Ramsay Rams, with a score of 20-17.

Chelsea Hornets: Chelsea had a victory over the Calera Eagles with a final score of 38-24.

Cherokee County Warriors: Cherokee County had a big win over the Piedmont Bulldogs with a score of 26-7.

Cleburne County Tigers: The Tigers had a huge win over Northside with a final score of 20-16.

Coosa Christian Conquerors: The Conquerors came out on top in a 1A battle 21-6 over Spring Garden.

Geraldine Bulldogs: The Bulldogs defeated the Fyffe Red Devils at Fyffe for the first time since 2000 in a defensive battle ending in a score of 17-6.

Fort Payne Wildcats: Fort Payne had a huge win over the Etowah Blue Devils with a final score of 54-26.

Locust Fork Hornets: Locust Fork took control over the J. B. Pennington Tigers with an impressive win of 42-20.

Sardis Lions: The Lions were victorious over the New Hope Indians with a score of 34-14.

Shades Valley Mounties: Shades Valley had a huge victory over Fairfield with a score of 42-19.

Straughn Tigers: The Tigers came out on top in a battle with Pike County with a final score of 20-19.

Susan Moore Bulldogs: The Bulldogs had an impressive win this week over the West End Patriots with a score of 33-6.

    I believe Geraldine beat Fyffe in a upset in 2021 or 22 .

    It was 2021 ended nation’s longest winning streak Geraldine 20 Fyffe 19.

      Yes, you are correct. Geraldine did beat Fyffe 20-19 in 2021, but the game was at Geraldine. This past Friday night’s win was the first time that Geraldine has beaten Fyffe at Fyffe since way back in 2000. Big win!
